My husband Michael and I love hiking at the Summit Country MetroParks, and from the moment I saw Himelright Lodge being built, I knew it was going to be one of my favorite venues—a space that connects my love for photographing weddings with peaceful outdoor settings and golden hour light. Located in the Valley View Area of Cascade Valley Metro Park in Akron, Himelright Lodge is a renovated 1800s-era barn that blends rustic charm and history inside with a beautiful, clean and light exterior. With tall windows and a beautiful glass entry wall, it has a timeless look and great natural light!

If you are looking to rent Himelright Lodge for your wedding day, here is everything you need to know!
Location: Valley View Area, Cascade Valley Metro Park (Akron, OH)
Hours: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Guest Capacity: Up to 150 guests (capacity would be reduced to allow for a dance floor)
Tables: 23 included
Wedding Suite Rental (Optional)
- $250 add-on
- Includes two separate private rooms (15-person capacity each)
- Makeup stations, seating, garment racks, changing area, refrigerator
- Centrally heated and air-conditioned
- Restrooms located just next door inside the main lodge
Rental Rates
- Summit County Residents:
– Weekday: $787.50
– Friday–Sunday: $1,575 - Non-Residents:
– Weekday: $1,181.25
– Friday–Sunday: $2,362.50 - Reservations open exactly 18 months in advance at midnight
- Once paid, all reservations are non-refundable
- Serving alcohol? You’ll need a special permit and additional ranger fees
