Kylee and Nathan’s wedding at 1885 Farms was the perfect wedding weekend in Ohio! From the start of planning, Kylee and Nathan had a different vision. Instead of just one day to celebrate their wedding, they wanted their family and close friends to be able to gather for the weekend. Kylee found 1885 Farms in Navarre, Ohio. The Stables at 1885 Farms not only has an expansive mansion on the property for all their family to stay in, but also has space on the grounds for the ceremony, reception, and endless opportunities for photos!
The inspiration for Kylee and Nathan’s wedding was a romantic, elegant day filled with dusty pinks and navy blues. The night before the wedding the rehearsal took place on the property and then the bride, groom, and their closest family and friends got to spend the night together playing games, swimming in the indoor pool, and getting excited for the next day! I absolutely loved the way a full weekend celebration for their wedding allowed Kylee and Nathan to spend more time with the people they love.
The morning of the wedding, nervous, excited energy filled the air at 1885 Farms. Getting ready on site was so convenient for everyone. There are multiple options for ceremony locations on site including on the expansive lawn near the pond and the wooded ceremony area that Kylee and Nathan used on their day. There was a big threat of thunderstorms all afternoon and evening, but the summer thunderstorms held off for their beautiful outdoor ceremony!
We went immediately into Kylee and Nathan’s bridal portraits to take advantage of any time we had left before the storms arrived. Thanks to the convenience of having all of our options easily accessible on the property, we were able to get all of their photos done right before the skies let loose.
We made our way into the mansion for Kylee’s dress to get bustled and it was absolutely pouring outside! Our next biggest challenge was getting the bride and groom across the yard for their grand entrance through the torrential rain. Kylee and Nathan were escorted across in the golf cart to make one of the most unforgettable entrances into their tented reception on the lawn.
Rain could not dampen the joy these two exuded! They were married and ready to celebrate! The skies cleared after dinner and Kylee and Nathan danced the night away under a string-light adorned white tent. Even after the reception ended, the party continued on in the mansion with their family and closest friends!
It was such an incredible privilege to photograph such dear friends, and I loved getting to experience the day they dreamt up at The Stables at 1885 Farms. We have been looking forward to Kylee and Nathan’s wedding for so long, and I’m so grateful I got to capture this day with Michael by my side celebrating two of the most selfless and deserving people we know!
Congratulations you two! We love you!
